Question:
I have a Coleman casa grande popup trailer. I need a coupler repair latch..Ive bought two universal latches that doesnt seem to work properly. The bracket that holds up tight against the ball does not reach and hook around the small pivot bar on the backside. I towed with no problems but this doesnt seem safe..any thoughts would be appreciated.

There is not a universal latch repair kit. You will have to match the correct repair kit to the correct coupler. You are not able to use another brand repair kit on another brand coupler. Normally the coupler information is engraved on the coupler.
If you cant find what brand you have you would need to switch up couplers. The A-Frame Trailer Coupler # CA-5210-B. This coupler has a wraparound yoke latch that catches to remain open while you position the coupler over the ball. It has a sturdy steel construction and has a black powder coat finish that provides corrosion resistance.
