Question:

Lexus said I can’t add a hitch because of the kick sensor. Is that true? If not, what would you recommend to add a hitch and wiring. I do not need trailer brakes for my trailer.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75540 has been successfully installed on other 2022 Lexus RX 350 F-Sports with the kick sensor for the rear lift gate. Do note that the receiver tube will limit the range and function of the kick sensor and you may no longer be able to use the function. With the Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT58GR it allows you to remove the receiver tube when not needed. Since there will not be a receiver tube there is nothing to block the kick sensor mounted on the rear bumper fascia.

You will need either the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # 56083 if you have the factory tow package wiring harness. If you do not have the factory tow package wiring you will need the Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118255. A Mounting Bracket # 18144 can be used to secure the 4-way connector to your rear fascia for easy access.
