Rotating Arms with Ratcheting Hooks

Kuat Transfer V2 ratcheting hooks

The Transfer V2 has ratcheting hooks that grab your bikes firmly by the front wheel - not the frame. It's perfect for carrying carbon bikes or bikes with a custom paint job. To load a bike, simply place your front wheel in the cradle, rotate the arm up and over the wheel, and press down firmly on the ratcheting hook.

Front-Wheel Cradles with Adjustable Pitch

Kuat Transfer V2 front wheel cradles

In its upright position the front cradles sit at the optimal position for holding normal-size bikes. However, you can adjust the cradles so that smaller bikes sit more toward the center of the rack or to prevent bikes from bumping into each other. To adjust the pitch, use the included Allen key to flip the bolt locator tabs upside down.

Pivoting Rear-Wheel Cradles

Kuat Transfer V2 rear wheel cradle

The rear wheel cradles accommodate a wide variety of bike wheelbases. They pivot front to back, adjusting automatically to each bike's wheelbase - no need for sliding and tightening. Secure the wheels in place with the built-in ratcheting strap. Strap extenders (sold separately) let you carry fat bikes.

U-Shape Frame

Kuat Transfer V2 U-shape base

Most platform-style racks force you to reach out and over the rack to load your bikes or walk around to the back of the rack to access the bike closest to your vehicle. The U-shaped frame allows you to walk inside the rack and get close to your bikes to lift them. Also, it won't block your backup camera when it's folded up.

Foot Lever for Easy Tilting and Folding

Kuat Transfer V2 foot lever

The spring-loaded foot lever is easily accessible even with your bikes loaded. No more crawling through your bikes or squeezing between the rack and the vehicle to hit the tilt release lever.

Kuat Transfer V2 tilting rackKuat Transfer V2 folding rack

The foot lever lets you tilt the rack down with bikes loaded for cargo area access. It leaves both hands free so that you can lower the rack in a controlled manner. When the rack is unloaded you can fold it up for storage.

Easy Installation

Kuat Transfer V2 complete security

The rack is easy to install. Just slide the shank into your hitch and use the included 8-mm Allen wrench to tighten the flatlock cam. An anti-rattle wedge is deployed inside the shank to help take play out of the hitch connection.

Complete Security for Bikes and Rack

Kuat Transfer V2 indentation

The Allen wrench has an indentation, so it can only be used with the Transfer. This helps keep the rack secure on your vehicle. You'll need to store it in a safe place because you'll need it when you want to remove the rack. You can also use a locking hitch pin (sold separately) for extra rack security.

Kuat Transfer V2 integrated cable lock

The Transfer also includes a cable lock that secures your bikes to the rack. The 1/4" thick, braided steel cable threads through your bike's frames, and locks back into the rack.

  • Can the Thule Epos Bike Rack Travel in the Vertical Stored Position?
Hey Steve, thanks for reaching out! I believe you're asking about the Thule Epos Bike Rack for 3 Bikes # TH69XE. You can park with it in the "stored" position, but since it doesn't fold up next to the vehicle you won't really be saving on space at the back, and Thule lists in their instructions not to drive around with the trays in the stored position either. We have a few alternatives like the Kuat Transfer V2 # KU24FR and RockyMounts HighNoon FC # RKY74MR that are 3-bike racks and have...

  • Can Kuat Transfer V2 3-Bike Rack Convert to 2-Bike Rack
Hi Howard; if this was originally the 2-bike # KU84FR all you need to do is remove the add on # KU57FR to convert it back. If it was originally the 3-bike version # KU24FR you will remove the cradle and hook arm but the arms they attach to will remain extended out as they are now. There are no special instructions or other info you should need to make the conversion.

  • Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for 2017 Acura RDX
I can help, but since you have a Class I hitch you can only carry up to 2 bikes with that setup. What you would need is a Class III hitch installed on your 2017 Acura RDX. For that you would want to remove the dealer hitch and then install the Draw Tite part # 75784. With this hitch you could easily carry a 3 bike rack. I really like the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 3 Bikes, part # KU24FR. This is a lightweight platform rack (which is normally an unheard of combo). That means it'll be...

  • Is The Kuat Transfer 3 Bike Rack Or RockyMounts MonoRail 3 Bike Rack a Better Option?
I have a couple reasons Anthony, that I feel like makes the Kuat Transfer # KU24FR much nicer to use than the RockyMounts MonoRail Bike Rack # RKY10004-10005. With as deep as the 3 bike racks are I like on the Kuat you do not have the full length trays which allows you to get up to where the bike connects. This makes putting on and taking the bikes off so much easier especially when you have to load them all by yourself. And in my experience working with all the different companies Kuat's...

We do have one option for a trailer hitch that fits your 2018 Toyota Prius Prime that has a 2 inch receiver so you can use a 3-bike rack, which is from EcoHitch: - EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7369 This hitch fits your Prius Prime and is the only option with a 2 inch receiver; every other hitch is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver and is only capable of carrying a 2-bike rack, so the EcoHitch is going to be perfect for your needs. For your 2018 Subaru Forester, the Curt hitch that meets your criteria and is a confirmed fit is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13144 and will work great for a 3 bike rack. For a 3 bike carrier, I recommend going with a platform rack because it supports the bikes by the wheels. The Saris 3 bike was discontinued, but the Kuat Transfer # KU24FR is a similar choice that will also make loading easy due to the design where you can walk in between the rack...

  • 3 Bike Rack Recommendation for 2009 Acura MDX with 2 inch Hitch
A three bike trunk mounted bike rack like the Yakima HangOut 3 part # Y02638 that you referenced would work on your 2009 Acura MDX but since you have a 2 inch trailer hitch a hitch mounted bike rack would be your best option. Hitch racks are much more stable, don't touch painted surfaces of the vehicle, are easier to install/remove, and if ever needed you could open the rear cargo door without having to totally remove the rack like trunk racks require. • Recommended Solution for Bike Rack When Towing Travel Trailer with Limited Mounting Space
I have a solution for you, and I'll start out by saying that I cannot recommend using a dual hitch adapter like the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544 because it reduces the tongue weight capacity of the hitch on your 2013 Toyota Highlander. Unfortunately this does mean that using your Kuat Transfer V2 # KU24FR isn't an option with your trailer setup because of the side mounted jack and the front cargo box. With all of that said, you can use the BikeBase Trailer Tongue Adapter...

  • 3 Bike Platform Bike Rack Recommendation that is Easy To Use and Can Fold Up
For what you are looking for I believe your best option would be the Kuat Transfer 3 part # KU24FR. This is a 3 bike rack that is easy to load, is priced really well for how nice of a rack it is, and for a platform bike that carries more than 2 bikes is pretty light at 51 lbs. Most platform racks are really heavy which is their biggest drawback. Since it is a platform bike rack it will be very easy to load. I attached a couple pictures that show that it can fold down for cargo area access...

Between the Saris SuperClamp EX 4 Bike Platform Rack item # SA4026F and the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack item # KU24FR, I would go with the Kuat because it will better suit your needs. The Kuat is 12lbs lighter (without add-on) and will be much easier to remove or install on your vehicle than the Saris. This will also be a less expensive setup. I have a great solution for you. Since the tongue capacity of your 2013 Honda CR-V is 150 pounds, the only way for the Kuat Transfer 2 # KU24FR is if your friends' bikes weigh no more than 30 pounds for one and 29 pounds for the other (which is extremely light for adult bikes). There are a number of reasons for this, including ease of use, clearances, and fit of bikes.
