Can Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning Be Locked to Roof

Question:

What anti-theft nut system do you recommend for securing my RhinoRack Sunseeker to its mounting brackets?

The Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning # RR32133 comes with standard hardware and there isn't a specific lock kit to install on it. With that being said, I'm sure there are different hardware kits out there that can be used with a special tool so your average passerby won't be able to just remove the hardware. Both bolts used with the mounting hardware are M8 size so that's what you'll want to look for.

Can you make specific recommendations. I want a key lock system similar to the Yakima Bed Rack System (Overhaul Specifically). I just want something that has a key lock on the bolt area.

@BenE The best solution we have is for you to add Red Loctite # LT37420 to the threads on the bolts, but that's more for a permanent installation. If you want something similar to the Yakima lock system then you'll need to find a company that specializes in locks like this. Rhino-Rack doesn't have a lock for it and I unfortunately don't know of any companies that make universal locks for standard bolts like what you're looking for.
