Can The Motor/Control Head On The etrailer Electric Jack Be Turned To Accommodate A Tailgate

Can the powerhead be rotated a quarter turn to be placed in the controls in the 9 or 3 o’clock position? If so, is the jack leg predrilled for such a change? Reposition would allow me to lower my tailgate without it resting on the controls

Expert Reply:
The motor/control head of the Electric Jack w/ Footplate # EJ-3520-BBX isn't designed to move but the whole jack itself can be mounted with the controls facing a different way. Since the mounting plate is triangular there is only three ways to mount it though.
The Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-3755 has a rounded mounting plate which you could put in any direction and drill new hole as needed.
