Question:
Im moving across country and need a cargo carrier for my 2018 Toyota c-hr. I will have a roof rack loaded with suitcases and need the cargo carrier as well. My manual says it has a tongue capacity of 200 lbs, 2000lb max towing. So with the hitch installed how much weight can I put on the carrier?

The 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lb item # C18145 you were looking at weighs 28 lbs and is one of the lightest cargo carriers on the market. If the tongue weight capacity of your 2021 Toyota C-HR is 200 lbs then you will be able to carry 170 lbs of cargo in this carrier. I have linked a review video below that shows this cargo carrier being installed and used on a C-HR we had in the shop recently.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C11567 is the best hitch for your 2021 Toyota C-HR and does not take away from your vehicles tongue weight capacity. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Toyota with included hardware.
