Question:
Hello, I am interested in using the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch - Wire Rope - Hawse Fairlead - 3,400 lbs to load my Proc3 race car 1989 BMW 325i 2600lbs onto my 16foot Featherlite 3182 aluminum open trailer. Can this winch be mounted to a Featherlite 3182 and can it pull a 2600lb race car onto a trailer. Cheers

It is possible yes; the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch - Wire Rope - Hawse Fairlead - 3,400 lbs # BDW15017 does have the needed capacity for your 2,600 lb 1989 BMW 325i is within the weight capacity of the winch, and it can be mounted on your aluminum trailer. That said, you'll need to create some type of corrosion-resistant paint or coating on the steel plate for the winch, and also do the same for the mounting hardware (or change it out).
Otherwise, there will be corrosion due to mixture of steel and aluminum. Or you could possibly have a wooden platform fabricated for the deck of your trailer to place the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch - Wire Rope - Hawse Fairlead - 3,400 lbs # BDW15017 on.
So this is certainly doable, but it'll take some extra steps.
