Is The Yellow Ignition Wire On The Firestone Air Command Compressor System Meant To Be Used?

Question:

The video for this product, like the instructions themselves, say not to use the yellow wire and just to cap it. However, there are three comments about this on this product and 2 of your expert responses say that you should use the yellow wire to avoid draining your battery but the third says there is no need to use the yellow wire So, whats the deal with this yellow wire?? And if its not used, where does the fuse go? I had my system professionally installed, and they installed the yellow wire into the fuse box. That is commonly done with these systems, but the instructions explicitly say not to 3 separate times actually. My system has issues with the app defaulting to maximum pressure every time I turn my car on. Is that possibly because the yellow wire is connected to the ignition?

I spoke with Firestone about the yellow wire apart of the Air Command Compressor System w/ Light Duty Compressor # F2610 system, and they informed me that the yellow wire is NOT to be used on this system.

It should not be hooked up or grounded to anything, and that is the reason you're experiencing issues with your system.

Firestone recommends that you disconnect the wire and make sure it isn't touching anything. It's safest to zip tie the wire out of way and cap it.

This harness was adapted from a previous model which is why the yellow is there even though it isn't meant on being used.
