99 dodge ram with factor wiring is this right p/n to fit my wiring without any wire cutting? hm40940

If your 1999 Dodge Ram Pickup has a 7-Way with a round U.S. Car Connector that plugs in to the rear of the 7-Way then it will be a simple matter to disconnect it from the existing one and connect it to the Hopkins Quick-Install # HM40940. The photo provided shows the back of a typical 7-Way with the U.S. Car Connector; this is what will mate with the existing harness connector.

If your Ram does not have a round U.S. connector to plug in to the back of the 7-Way, but instead has a rectangular Dodge OEM connector then in order to use the Hopkins 7-way you will also need to use adapter harness # C57300 from Curt to mate the two connector types. No cutting or splicing of wires will be required in either case.
