Today we'll be reviewing part number HM40940. This is the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Trailer Connector. This is a replacement 7-blade, RV-style trailer connector socket for your vehicle. It's going to be compatible with vehicles that have factory tow packages. Its a Plug-In Simple installation, just connects to the wiring harness quickly and easily with no cutting or splicing of wires required. The lid will open a 180 degrees for easy connections that needs to be made when plugging in the 7-blade connector. That's a spring loaded lid so it's usually do it and releases.
It's really going to help keep out dirt and moisture and just going to protect those connection points. It has enhanced weatherproofing with internal seals and corrosion-resistant terminals. It's made from an extremely durable ABS plastic construction and its got a over-sized lid hinge. All the mounting screws and dielectric grease packets are included. You got the mounting kit here, it's going to come with the screws, the washers, the knots, everything you need for an install. Then you're going to have 2 terminal grease packets that are going to be included. You can see here that you just have 4 mounting locations.

Tossed a shovel in the bed of my pickup and busted the outer cover off of my electrical connection for my cabover camper. Replaced the cover for under $20 vs buying a whole new plug. Fit perfectly and highly recommend. Thanks for your help Nichole!

Ordering could not have been easier. Product was received in two days. Fit and finish of the product is excellent. Instructions were easy to read and installation was simple. Shipping was about 60% of what was originally quoted when ordering so that was a nice plus. This product looks like it will last a long time.
a great fit for my 2014 jeep grand Cherokee. Plugged in to the wiring provided by Jeep from the factory. Also, the 7 to 4 pin adapter fit right into the now 7 pin plug so I can tow U-Haul trailers, pop up campers, etc. Thanks so much!!!!
I used this to replace a connector that I had broken. It plugged into the existing wiring perfectly the mounting holes did not match the old one exactly but as that was a different brand it was to be expected. The Hopkins appears to be heavier duty than the old one and should stand up better.
As with all previous orders with etrailer communication was great and shipping fast and items well packaged.
I love this product. Snapped right in. My mounting bracket hole configuration was a little different. I drilled 4 new holes, 4 new screws. Done

My factory connector cracked.
I installed a Hopkins plug on our trailer several months before, so I purchased the connector. It is a great product and easy to install.
I always check with trailer first. The always have what I am looking for and always at the right price. Shipping is fair and I have never been unsatisfied with the products.
This part was a direct replacement that I needed. The retail dealer that originally installed it coud not get it for me. etrailer was great, had exactly what I needed, was easy to order, and arrived in 4-5 days exactly as promised. The price was good, and shipping was reasonable.
Bought this for my 2011 VW Toureg and it fit perfectly into the original small 7 pin factory attachment. The only complaint is that only one of the holes matches up to the factory cable holder on the VW. So I can only screw in one of the screws into the holder without fabricating some more holes by drilling.
I have always been happy with the items from etrailer and intend to continue buying their products
The product is well built. Had to find my on nuts and bolts to fix it. It did not come with as the picture depicted. Overall a great product. Well still buy from Etrailer again.

Site said it would fit my Cayenne. The mount bolt holes do not line up at all. Had to modify mount base to mount it.
