Thank you for reaching back out and clarifying that, the reason you received a response talking about a 5th wheel hitch is because base rails are a 5th wheel product. What you are needing is something different than base rails.
The TracRac's are a custom fit product for each vehicle. Depending on what vehicle it came off of and what model it is, there is a chance it will not work with your 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with 6.5' bed. That being said, the Replacement Modular Base for Thule TracRac Fixed Mount Ladder Rack # 8528383001 will work with TracRac, TracOne and the T-Rack Pro2.
If you can provide the part number for the TracRac you have, I may be able to verify if it will work with your truck or not.

I’m wondering if there is any way to figure out what other trucks my TracRac parts will fit? We no longer have the truck these parts were on and would like to know what else they can go on.

I was given a TracRac and need the base on which the Rac slides on. The previous reply to my question asked for the model number. I don’t seem to be able to locate it on the rac. There is only one label see photo.
