SumoSprings Or Timbrens For My 2017 Ford F-150 4WD That Squats When Hooked To My Trailer
Updated 05/21/2022 | Published 05/20/2022 >
Question:
My F-150 squats alot in the rear when towing my single axel camper. I had the tounge weight measured at about 600lbs, and the GTW is 5,000 lbs. I am considering adding springs, sumo springs, or the Timbren SES to help with the load. Help please!

I do have a solution for you, provided your 2017 Ford F-150 4X4's suspension is in good condition. None of our options can overcome a vehicle's suspension that is not in good working order. The squat you get when your trailer is hooked up to your vehicle will cause your front end to ride light, cause wear and tear on your suspension, position your headlights in the incorrect position while you are driving, among other things. If I have to pick between the three options, I will choose the SumoSprings.
I recommend the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs - 2 Piece - Rear Axle, part # SS95QR. They provide a smoother ride while helping keep your truck level when hooked up to your trailer. They also work independently, helping to reduce body roll.
I have provided a video demo link below.
