Question:
I want to tow a Cherokee Alpha Wolf 26 rdb-l which is well under my tow capacity. I am curious about solving rear leaf squat with torklift. The trailer’s UCW is 5,800 lbs. So I’m well under with my F150 which is 7700 lbs. Would it keep the rear end from sagging? Appreciate the insight.

The TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade # TLA7310S that fits your 2017 Ford F-150 is more of an upgrade for ride quality, and wouldn't do a great deal to help with sag. There is an option that will help tremendously with sag, however, which is a kit from RoadActive Suspension; the correct option will depend on if you have 2WD or 4WD, and how much squat you are experiencing.
4-Wheel Drive
- Max of 2 to 3 Inches of Squat: RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS3611-Y
- Higher Than 2-3 Inches of Squat And/Or 600 lbs or More of Tongue Weight: RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty # RAS3611-YHD
2-Wheel Drive
- Max of 2 to 3 Inches of Squat: RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS3611-B
- Higher Than 2-3 Inches of Squat And/Or 600 lbs or More of Tongue Weight: RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty # RAS92FR
The RAS kit will will help with your F-150's sag when you are towing, which in turn will improve its handling and performance. It won't negatively affect your unloaded ride, and is simple to install relative to other options like air bags. This is an active system, so it continually reinforces your truck's original leaf spring suspension. What that means is the force that would normally go to your OEM leaf springs will instead be transferred to the RAS kit, allowing your OEM leaf springs to work normally.
