Question:

Hey guys just purchased the Curt custom 5th wheel installation bars/frame kit C93WR for my 2022 F150 XLT 3.5L Ecoboost, kit works great. Was wondering if these airbags F2582, would work with this kit as I noticed some of the mounting holes on the truck frame may be covered by the Curt frame bracket? And if it won’t work do you have a reference for one that will? Definitely need some airbag support for my towing. Thank you!

Great photos, thank you, and while we do have a suspension enhancement option for your 2022 Ford F-150, you are correct the Ride-Rite # F2582 won't work because they use the same mounting holes as the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C93WR. I then took a look at the Air Lift # AL47PD, but the issue there is they use U-bolts that go over the frame to mount, and the Curt brackets have the pronounced hump right where they would go.

So instead, of air bags, I highly recommend the RoadActive Suspension system, with the right fit for your '22 F-150 depending on if you have 2-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive:

- 4WD: RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS3611-YHD

The RoadActive works by continually reinforcing your original leaf spring suspension. What that means is the force that would normally go to your F-150's OEM leaf springs will instead be transferred to the RAS Enhancement Kit, allowing your OEM leaf springs to work normally.

This will help your F-150 level out and give you much improved handling and traction when towing. The reason for that is, normally when you tow, particularly a 5th wheel trailer with a lot of pin weight, your factory leaf springs flatten out, causing the back end to sag, which leads to more difficult handling, but the RAS kit will actively counteract that, helping level and stabilize your truck.
