Question:

Jeep 2007 commander not sure if I can tow it or not What type is the common vehicle to be tow. Are they all stick shift ??

To be able to flat tow your 2007 Jeep Commander it will need to be 4WD with a 2-speed transfer case. If you have this type of Commander then you can follow the steps listed in your owner's manual to get your vehicle prepped to tow and will need the following items to complete your setup:

Base Plate: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # 1427-3.

Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates # e74ZR.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15247.

Since your Commander's tail lights have separate wiring you'll need a wiring converter # 118158 and 2 additional diodes # RM-792 if you want to retain separate turn and brake signals.

Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524.

The tow bar I recommended is going to come with safety cables so you won't need to purchase any separately. The braking system I recommended is going to also come with a charge line kit to ensure that your Jeep's battery stays charged while you tow so that you don't arrive at your destination with a dead battery.
