According to the owner's manual, the FWD 2012 GMC Acadia can indeed be flat towed with all 4 wheels down. The procedure is listed as follows:
1. Position the vehicle to be towed, shift the transmission to P (Park), and turn the ignition to LOCK/OFF.
2. Secure the vehicle to the towing vehicle.
3. Set the parking brake.
4. Turn the ignition to ACC/ACCESSORY.
5. Shift the transmission to N (Neutral).
6. To prevent the battery from draining while the vehicle is being towed, remove the 15 amp ECM fuse, the 20 amp ECM1 and the 50 amp BATT1 fuse from the under hood fuse block and store in a safe location. (more on this later)
7. Release the parking brake.
To flat tow the vehicle, you'll need a tow bar like the # RM-522 Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, base plates like # 523149-1, safety cables like # RM-643, and a taillight wiring harness like # HM56107.
So you don't have to manually pull the fuses mentioned above, I'd recommend using bypass switches for the fuses. You'll need # RM-76517, and two of # RM76511. You'll also need a supplemental braking system like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR and a 12V outlet kit, part # RM-9332.
If the vehicle is at factory ride height on the stock tire size, the base plates will sit about 19 inches above the pavement when installed. If the base plates are more than 3 inches higher or lower than the receiver hitch on the motorhome, you'll need a high/low adapter to bring the height difference to within 3 inches. I'll link to our selection of adapters.
I've also linked to some installation videos that you might find helpful.
