There are 5 main parts you will need to flat tow your 2009 Honda CR-V. Those parts are a base plate kit, tow bar, safety chain, tow bar wiring and a supplemental braking system. I have included a list of parts confirmed to fit your 2009 Honda CR-V below, along with a brief description of their purpose.

Base Plate Kit: This is a custom fit part for your CR-V and provides the attachment point for the tow bar coming from your motorhome. Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521559-5

Tow Bar: This is what attaches to your motorhome and the base plate to pull your CR-V. Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676. This tow bar is compatible with the above base plate and includes the safety cables, so you will not need to get them separately.

Tow Bar Wiring: This is what allows you to use your Honda CR-V's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154. Your CR-V will require you to pull fuses to flat tow, you can use the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511 to just flip a switch each time instead of pulling a fuse. You will want to check the owners manual of your CR-V to ensure you are pulling the correct fuse.

Supplemental Braking System: This is what will allow you to safely travel with and stop your CR-V behind your motorhome. The Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 will provide you with a proportional braking system that never has to be removed, replaced, or reset.

You may also need a high-low adapter to keep your flat tow set up level. I have included a help article that goes over this and I have linked our selection of high-low adapter so you can select the correct option. You will want to consult the owners manual of your CR-V to ensure that you are doing everything that is recommended/required by the manufacturer for flat towing your CR-V.
