B&W Companion Base Assemblies That Fit Factory Prep/Puck Hitch on a 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty

Question:

I currently have the BandW Companion 5th Wheel hitch with slider RVK3405 rated for 20K lbs. I would like to switch bases to accommodate for a Ford SD 2022 F450 OEM system, however I would like to keep my existing head unit. Can you confirm that my existing head is compatible with the 20k lbs base unit BWRVB3300 and that is what I need for the Ford SD OEM system? Also, I would be interested in increasing my load capacity, and I noticed that you have a 25k base unit BWRVB3305. Is my head unit off the RVK3405 also compatible with this base? If so, will my complete hitch combination be rated at 25K lbs, or is a different head unit also required to maintain the 25k capacity? In other words, are the same head units used on the 20k and 25k models, and the increased weight rating is based solely on the base unit?

Your B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3400(RVK3405) comes with the Head Assembly # BWRVC3006. The head is rated for up to 25,000LBS so you could use it with the Base # BWRVB3300 for a maximum weight capacity of 20,000lbs or with the Base # BWRVB3305 for a maximum weight capacity of 25,000lbs.

Both of these bases with your head will fit the factory prep/puck system on your 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty.
