How Does Reverse Lock Out Solenoid of Titan Surge Actuator Get Wired
Published 04/11/2022 >
Question:
I have just purchased this item and have a few questions. Should it come with instructions? Past Titan actuator I had came with instructions. There were no instructions in the box. I am looking for any wiring instructions for the electronic lockout. Also the past actuator I had, you can place a lock on it to prevent the trailer from being detached. Is there a suggested way to do this with this actuator? Thanks.

The Titan Actuator part # T47457207K should have came with instructions but sometimes like anything they get misplaced before shipping. With the reverse lock out solenoid basically one of the wires runs to the reverse light circuit of the vehicle and the other gets grounded. The wires aren't polarity sensitive so either could be used as the power and ground wire.
There isn't a coupler lock available for this coupler due to it being the multi-ball setup that fits more than one ball size. That's the trade off with this style of coupler.
