Are Yakima ZipStrips 8880566 Compatible With Pre-2015 Yakima Ridgeback

Question:

Can I use the SuperCush zip strips on my pre-2015 Ridgeback bike rack? I know it calls for the 8890297 because it has the grey release buttons, but will the Y55XR work?

I checked with Yakima and the newer Replacement ZipStrip Straps for Yakima SuperCush Bike Rack Cradles # Y55XR are not compatible with the pre-2015 Yakima Ridgeback bike rack.

For those years you will need the Replacement ZipStrip Straps for Yakima Standard Bike Rack Cradles # Y8890297.
