I would be happy to help you get your Tekonsha Prodigy P3 item # 90195 installed in your 2011 Chevy Colorado. I linked a video below that shows the brake controller being installed on a 2015 Colorado so you can follow along with the process.

Here are the wires functions on your truck and where they will connect on the P3 brake controller:

Red with Green Wire = 12v power will go to the Black Wire on the Brake Controller. This will likely be a larger gauge wire.

Black Wire = Ground Wire will go to the White Wire on the Brake Controller

White with Blue Stripe Wire = Brake Signal will go to the Red Wire on the Brake Controller

Blue Wire = Brake Controller Output Signal will go to the Blue Wire on the Brake Controller

There is no white wire with blue stripe going to the brake on my 2011 Colorado. Could you tell me if there should be 12 volts on the activated brake wire to activate a Tekonsha P2 There are 2 switches on the brake. One doesn't seem to do anything but the other has 12 volts on a double tan wire and only a slight voltage comes through when the brake is activated on a black wire.

@Wesley That's good to know. You'll want to use a circuit tester item # PTW2993 to find the wire coming off of the brake pedal that only has voltage when the pedal is pressed. That's the cold side of the brake light switch. The other side should have power coming off of it constantly.

@JerredH I have already done as you say however the voltage is not sufficient to run the brake controller. I decided to go to the taillight and test the voltage there. I got 10+ dc volts there so am planning to see if that wire runs in the wire harness on the left of the truck. When I am connected to the camper next, I will test to see if that wire activates the brakes in conjunction with pressing the brake.

@Wesley If you can't get the voltage shortage sorted out. You can install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit item # RM-751490. This will provide the needed power when applying the brakes. You would just run the red wire from the P2 brake controller to this kit.
