Solution for Additional Clearance With Gooseneck Hitch and Goose Box on 2021 Ford F-250 Short Bed

I have a 2021 Ford F250 Short Bed Platinum. Im not sure I have enough turn clearance from 5th wheel to truck cab. Looking for gooseneck adaptor instead of purchasing new truck. My old 5th wheel was totaled in Hurricane Ida in Aug 2021. My truck needed repair from same incident. I purchased my camper in Oct 2021 not knowing it would take so long to get my truck. I paid a transport company to deliver my camper. I just got my truck out of the shop Mar 2022 6.5 months later. Today was the first chance I had to hook up camper and see if I have enough turning clearance. By the looks of it, I do not in my opinion. I have a BandW down ball in bed of my truck with a Reese Gooseneck Pin Box 20k. I feel I need an adaptor to give me the turning clearance. Center of camper is 3ft from truck cab. Edges of camper are 4ft from truck cab. Thoughts? Ideas? Thank you in advance.

In order to determine if you have enough clearance I would first use the following formula:
(A + B) - C = Clearance
A = Distance from center of gooseneck ball to truck cab
B = Length of goose box arm
C = Width of trailer divided by 2 (to get half)
A clearance of at least 4" is recommended for 90 degree turns. Assuming you need additional clearance, you could use the 4" Offset Ball for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitches # BWGNXA4085. Worst case scenario you will be unable to make a 90 degree turn, which is ok, you just need to know your limits to avoid potential issues.
The other option would be to replace your goose box with a standard pin box and use a 5th wheel hitch like the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3400. This will fit your existing B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1116. By using a 5th wheel hitch with a slider you will solve your clearance issues.
