Question:
Hi, I am replacing the leaf springs in my dual axle Continental A2150-5000 trailer. The springs that seem to fit perfectly are the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8inch Long - Item # e68SR. EXCEPT, it has 9/16inch eye bushings and all the fittings and mounting hardware on my trailer are 1/2. One option is to just drill out the mounting tabs on the trailer to 9/16 and do everything in 9/16. It just makes me a bit nervous to modify anything suspension related. Option 2 would be to change the bushing in the spring to a 1/2inch bushing, if thats possible, I dont know if its a press fit or just a slip in. And even if I do that, Id need to either reuse the shackles and equalizer I have or try to find them in 1/2inch size, which doesnt seem easy. What would you do? Should I just drill the mounting bracket to 9/16inch and be done with it?

You don't have to worry about drilling into your trailer's suspension. We have bushings that will fit the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8" Long item # e68SR you found that will fit your trailer. You will want the Nylon Bushing - 1/2" Inner Diameter, 11/16" Outer Diameter - 1-3/4" Long item # TRBU11506. These have an 11/16" outer diameter that will fit inside those new springs perfectly when you pop out the included bushing.
You can reuse your old equalizers if you want to or since you will have your suspension all taken down you can replace them with the Curved Equalizer for 1-3/4" Wide Double-Eye Springs - 7-3/4" Long - 9/16" Center Hole item # TREQE1. You would need to replace the bushings in the equalizers with the item # TRBU11506 as well.
