Can I Swap to Larger Tires on My Utility Trailer with 13 Inch Wheels
Question:
I have an older utility trailer with 13 inch wheels and tires. I want to upgrade the trailer with either 14 or 15 inch tires, will the hub be the same or do I need a new hubs?

As long as you're able to match your existing bolt pattern with your new wheels, there's no reason to change the hubs on your trailer; there may be instances where the bolt patterns available for your hubs limit you to certain wheel sizes, so that information would be required. The other thing to take into consideration is the additional size you'll be adding in the wheel wells and you'll want to make sure that you leave at least 3" of clearance between the tops of your tires and the top of the wheel well, fender or frame.
With all of that said, if you've got a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern on your hubs and current 13" wheels, then you could go up to a 14" wheel like the # AM32161 or a 15" wheel like the # AM32238B depending on how much space you've got.
If you can let me know what your bolt pattern is and your current tire size is, I can help you locate wheels and tires that would work as replacements for you. I've also linked our entire selection of wheels and tires for you to check out yourself if you'd like.
