Question:
Will this cover preclude me from using a hitch anti-rattle / stabilizer device? If it is plastic, will the device crush the plastic?

As far as using an anti-rattle device with the 2" Hitch Cap Sensor for GMC Sierra MultiPro and Chevy Silverado Multi-Flex Tailgate # C56UR, it depends on what style of anti-rattle device you have. For example, if you have an anti-rattle hitch pin like the # 63232, these will not interfere with the # C56UR. However, while not specifically tested, if you have a harness-style anti-rattle device like the Pro Series Anti-Rattle Device for 2" x 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers # PS63091, these will most likely interfere with the cap sensor.
Any hitch-pin style anti rattle device will not crush the plastic housing of the sensor because the sensor does not install over/inside of the hitch pin hole. I do not recommend using a harness-style anti-rattle device with the sensor.
