Will CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors Prevent Factory Mirrors From Rotating on 2019 Nissan Pathfinder

I like these better than the straps - but I have the platinum 2019 nissan pathfinder and the mirrors swivel down inside the housing which does not move when you put the car in reverse. Will the clamps stop the swivel or is there enough clearance?

Expert Reply:
I reached out to CIPA and the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors # CM11980-2 is tapered to insert into the gap between the vehicle mirror housing and the mirror face. Since it will allow for normal mirror operation it will also give you enough clearance for your mirrors to rotate down when in reverse.
