Question:

I was looking at the photos showing the hitch installed on a 2021 KIA Seltos. I was a little concerned by the distance that the hitch is recessed behind the bumper. I need to be able to install our bike rack and still have room for the bikes without them hitting the bumper. Can you tell me the distance from the trailer hitch to the bumper face. Thanks.

The center of the hitch pin hole to the rear of the bumper on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C65FR is 8". If this does not provide you with enough clearance, and your bike rack can also fit a 2" hitch, you may be able to use an extender like the # D189 assuming your bike rack permits the use of an extender.

The only problem with this solution would be the reduction of the capacity of the hitch. Use of an extender will reduce the capacity by 50%, so your bikes and rack would have to weigh under 100 lbs. If this is not an option, you will either need a different hitch mounted rack with enough clearance or a trunk mounted bike rack like the # SAR43FR
