How much of the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent Will Stick Inside of the Trailer

What is the minimum thickness without adding a spacer.

If you remove the garnish that comes with the vent # VP-543SP and measure from the bottom of the base that mounts to the top of the roof down it is 1-3/8 inches to the bottom of the main housing and 3-3/4 inches to the bottom of the handle (with the vent closed). I made a video that shows where these measurements are being made.
