How far down from the ceiling (into the living space) does the fan handle protrude when the vent is closed? Also, what is the amperage or wattage for this fan? Thanks!

@Lee The handle moves 1-1/8 of an inch when closing and opening. When open the handle is basically totally flush with the garnish. The thickness of the garnish is right at 1/4 inch. This draws 1.5 amps.
