Question:

I dont see vents in the cover for the suburban sw6del heater that you recommend? my old one had vents in a couple of spots and the latch centered on the top?? please advise

Hey Kevin. The Replacement Door item # DMC58FR is designed to fit the Dometic RV Water Heater item # DMC74FR, which has vents built into the unit itself. This 6-gallon water heater would be a great option to replace a Suburban SW6DEL heater but the item # DMC58FR door will not work with it.

We do not have a replacement door that will work with a Suburban SW6DEL water heater. The vents on the doors and the exhaust don't line up. You would need to go through Suburban to source one.

Are you wanting to replace the door on your Suburban SW6DEL or do you need a new water heater?

Hi Kevin, I just bought one of these hot water heaters to replace my 2007 model. It fit in the current spot, but I had to purchase the door kit that has the two side parts to take up the extra space on the sides. The new door has the proper vent hole but did not fit my old outside trim, just had to doo a little tin work in the corners to get everything to fit correctly.
