Recommended Replacement for Atwood G6A-7 Water Heater

Question:

The best replacement option we have for an Atwood G6A-7 Water Heater Gas Only, 6 Gallon, Manual Pilot is the Atwood RV Water Heater part # AT96121 Gas Only, 6 Gallon, Auto Pilot. The only difference is this model has an automatic pilot whereas your old model had a manual pilot. What do I tie my green brown and blue wire to when switching from the old unit to the new unit because my old unit was manual like? Oh

The only tank equipped RV water heat option we currently offer is the Dometic RV Water Heater part # DMC74FR which is a 120 volt unit with 6 gallon tank and gas/electric operation. In regards to installation, this must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency, or gas supplier. That said, I have attached the wiring diagram for the above water heater below for reference.

We no longer carry the Atwood RV Water Heater part AT96121 unfortunately.

I’m trying to find replacement RVs water heater for my truck camper……a G6A-7SPK….6 gallon with spark ignition. The dimensions are 13X16X17. What model will fit without having to remodel or reframe the opening? Thanks, Steve Allen

@SteveA are those your cutout dimensions? You can use the Fogatti InstaShower 8 Pro # FG78FR which requires a cutout measuring 13" wide x 13" tall x 13-13/16" deep. This comes with a 15" x 18" access door which I believe matches the size of the door on your current water heater.
