Can Other Brand Shanks be Used with Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System

I have a newbie question. I currently have a Blue Ox SwayPro pulling a 23ft Airstream. I am upgrading to a Super Duty F250 with a 2.5in hitch. I know I’ll need a new shank for added height and do not want to use a sleeve. Do I have to use a Blue Ox shank or can I use a different brand? I occasionally pull an utility trailer as well so an all in one solution will be great. Thanks!

You can use other brand shanks with the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Systems like the part # BXW1503 that you mentioned. So you could use a Equal-i-zer part # EQ90-02-4900 which fits your hitch size directly and can provide a drop of 6 inches.
