Why Am I Having So Much Trailer Sway With My 10000lb Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Hitch?

I have had the Blue Ox Sway Pro hitch now for several years and despite its rave reviews on being one of the best, I find it horrible. Initially I was sold undersized bars for my 2017 Jayco 267BHSW. Dealer set it all up initially with 750lbs bars for a 7000lbs max trailer. But that trailer has a 12 tounge weight dry, so I was over pretty quickly. Eventually a year or so later after I installed airbags and readjusted hitch for change in height, I realize its probably undersized bars. The dealer did swap them out and it did help some. But even after all the adjustments it still sways around 60 mph and if its windy forget it. Trailer is loaded more in the front than back. It rides level. The hitch is great at weight distribution, not sway control. A bob tailing truck or suv will make this thing sway. Loaded or unloaded it doesnt matter. Link wise, 10 links on 1k bars is good. 11 links and its pushing too much to front and you can feel it immediately. Airbags are low psi at about 15psi. I noticed Blue Ox came out with a new design without chains. Seriously looking at getting a new hitch, but no one except Hensley or ProPride have and guarantee on their products. Its horrible that you spend $700+ on a hitch and invest $500+ more airbags that I probably didnt really need only to still have the problem. Any other suggestions or companies that stand behind their products and guarantee they work?

I am sorry to hear about your experience with your Blue Ox Sway Pro Weight Distribution Hitch.
In all honesty your hitch is really only designed for trailers that have occasional sway, and is not really great at trailers with constant, severe sway like your trailer.
There are a few options here, one allows you to keep your current hitch, the other is a complete replacement.
First is adding electric sway control like the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control # 335TSC-1000 which detects sway and activates your trailer brakes automatically to correct the sway before you even feel it. This option will work just fine with your current hitch, and once installed you don't ever have to think or worry about it again. Since your current hitch is doing the weight distribution function nicely this is the option I recommend as it will be the most cost effective.
Now if you have lost trust in your hitch and would feel more comfortable with a complete replacement, then going with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # EQ37100ET which has the same 1000lb max total tongue weight rating as your current hitch, but has heavy duty 4-point sway control to keep your trailer straight.
The Equal-i-zer hitches are hands down the best when it comes to sway control, and will not leave you disappointed.
Like I said earlier, since your hitch is doing its function of weight distribution just fine but lacking in the sway control departments the # 335TSC-1000 is my recommendation as it is the most cost effective, and is something that once installed you will never need to mess with again.
