Published 01/20/2022

Question:

Hi thank you for responding. I am trying to figure out which weight distribution hitch will suit me best. I am interested in either a equalizer e4 or a curt trutrac. I have a 2007 f350 and I will be towing a 2022 jayco 212qb. Dry Hitch Weight (lbs) 470 Unloaded Vehicle Weight (lbs) 4,235 Cargo Carrying Capacity (lbs) 1,265 Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (lbs) 5,500

The Curt TruTrack part # C17499 that you referenced is not available without a shank so you'd need to also go with the shank part # 17120 which would provide the drop you'd need. We also don't carry a similar rated system without a shank but we do have the Reese Steadi Flex part # RP66559 which has a tongue weight range of 500 to 1,000 lbs and comes with a shank that can do 4 inches of drop.

Equal-i-zers are widely considered to be the best systems around so that would be the solution I would recommend. The correct rated system would be the part # EQ37060ET.
