Question:
Thanks. I’m not sure this helps me though. With the propane shelf right at the 35” mark I can’t mount anything less than 36”. Everything I see seems to max out at 32”?

For your weight distribution system, I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37060ET. This system is rated for total tongue weights between 200 and 600 lbs. That weight rating includes the loaded trailer weight as well as any weight behind the rear axle of your towing vehicle. The bolt on trailer mounts are recommended to be positioned between 27 and 32 inches back from the center of your coupler and the bars are the 36 inches you stated. This system comes with a 2 inch hitch ball but you will need a thin walled socket like # ALL643216 for installation.
If you want a slightly larger system that will work for your trailer but will allow you the upgrade, then I recommend the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control # RP66083. This system is rated for 400-800 lb total tongue weight and the lift bracket positioning will be 30 inches back from the ball. You will need hitch ball # A-90 for the 2 inch ball you requested but you may also want the 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286 for your trailer upgrade. This system is the best for sway control as it actively fights to keep your trailer in line with the dual cams and hot rolled spring bar design.
