On one of my steps the light stopped working

I am so sorry to hear about your steps! If you have LED lighted steps like the Aries ActionTrac Motorized Running Boards with Custom Installation Kit - LED Lights # AA3048315 on your vehicle, it is possible there was a short somewhere in the wiring. In order to confirm that your wires are getting power, I recommend testing the wiring with a circuit tester like the # PTW2993.
For another troubleshooting method, I recommend checking to make sure that the LED connection is plugged in and secure. It is also important to note that you should not overtighten the LEDs with installation.
Worse comes to worse, you will have to replace the LED light. We do carry replacements. That is the Replacement 3-Diode LED Light for Aries ActionTrac Motorized Running Boards - Qty 1 # AA2090204.
