We have two hitch receivers for your 2018 Toyota Prius. They both have a 10/10 difficulty but identical installation methods. The complicated installations come from the type of vehicle you have. I have attached a video and a picture so you can not only see the final results but also understand the complicated install process. The entire rear panel and trim have to be removed but once everything is put back together you get a clean install with the only visible part being the 1 1/4" receiver opening tucked right in underneath the rear of your Prius. The Curt item # C11473 you were looking at is a good hitch but I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 24966. The capacities are the same with a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs but the installation instructions are far more clear and detailed with the Draw-Tite.
