How is the tension set for this cover? Is it adjustable?

Yes, the tension on the Access TonnoSport Soft, Roll-Up Tonneau Cover, part # A22040239, can be set. The tension adjusters are towards the bulkhead on your truck. You will have left and right tension adjusters. In order to tighten the tensioners you will turn them clockwise and turn them counter clockwise to loosen the tensioners. I have attached a portion of the installation manual below to help you with increasing and decreasing the tension in this tonneau cover.
