Trailer Wiring for 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz

Question:
Im interested in installing trailer light connections on my 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz. I installed the hitch easily enough but Im not sure about the wiring. Do you have a detailed video that shows how to do it? When I bought this vehicle last month the salesman told me it was set up with a plug and play easy connections but now Ive been told otherwise. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Hi Michael; you probably do have a factory wiring connection on your 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz. However, the only option for a plug and play wiring harness at this time is the OEM harness. Curt and other aftermarket companies have not developed a wiring harness capable of working with that factory connector yet.
Hyundai made a few changes to the way the wiring interacts on the 2025 so the old harness does not carry over even though I believe the connector matches. The only aftermarket option is a universal splice in harness like the # C59236. Since we haven't had a Santa Cruz come in for wiring installation we do not have an installation video available on your particular vehicle.
I recommend taking a look at some of our installation videos on similar vehicles just to get a feel for it and then you should be able to complete the installation using the written instructions. I also attached a link below for local installers if you would rather take it to a shop for installation. Even with the cost of installation you will probably save money over the OEM harness.
