Will The SportRack Replacement Kit SR05587 Fit My Roof Box?

Question:

Hello! I received a used cargo box that has no markings, and I’ve been unable to determine which brand, but it appears similar to the SportRack Explorer this kit is for. I saw in another QandA the dimensions for the U-bolts listed as 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall. Could you please send the dimensions for the support assembly aka hinges, as well as the mounting plates full plate size plus distance between the two mounting holes? Thank you!

I went and measured the hinge and mounting plate for the SportRack Replacement Hardware Kit # SR05587 and made a diagram for you to check out. As there were a few measurements listed on it, it seemed the better way to get them to you than typing them out. Pictures make it much more clear.

If this ends up not being an exact fit for your box, you best option will be to modify how said box mounts to your roof rack. Not having a brand or model will make it rather difficult to locate exact hardware for it.
