Recommended Plug and Play Brake Controller Harness for a 2024 MB Sprinter 2500 w/ the Tow Package

Question:

I am looking to install a brake controller in my 2025 sprinter 2500 with a factory tow package. I have the green connector under the seat. I wanted to install TK28BR and was looking for the adapter to connect it. It looks like part number 3063-P but your website says it is not compatible and I am having a hard time figuring out which one is.

Hey Nick, congrats on the new Sprinter. The Tekonsha Custom Harness item # 3063-P does fit the green connector that is under your seat in your 2025 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500. It's compatible with the E98 prep package option as shown in the picture below.

The item # 3063-P will allow you to install the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller item # TK28BR without having to cut or splice wires.

What kind of trailer are you pulling? The item # TK28BR doesn't work with all braking setups. You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

@Nick Ok, cool. You'll be good then. The item # TK28BR won't work with electric over hydraulic braking systems.

I have the same van and same question. I do not see 3063-P as a valid part on the website. Is there an updated part? I have another wiring harness and the lights work but my Tekonsha P3 doesn't detect the brakes and gives me a no trailer error.

@TrevorS Unfortunately, there is not. We no longer carry the pn 3063-P because of Tekonsha's parent company filing for bankruptcy and there's no more of them in stock. This was the only custom fit adapter we had for a 2025 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500. Since your P3 isn't working and there's no custom fit wiring harnesses for your Sprinter, I recommend replacing it with the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness item # RED52VR. You'll be able to cut the head off of the wiring adapter you have now and splice the universal harness included with this brake controller directly into it. The colors and functions will all match up.
