Question:
I have a Heartland Mallard IDM25 dual axel. I want to upgrade the suspension wit either the MORyde, Equa Flex or Road Warrior. The Lippert person on chat said the EquaFlex and RoadWarrior and the only difference is price. Also what exactly is needed to install. I see many install kits and am not sure what I need.

For your Heartland Mallard IDM25, I would recommend the Road Armor # LC696740 assuming the size is the closest to your current equalizers since it will give you more travel and a smoother ride. The Lippert rep was correct though, the Road Armor and the Equa-Flex # LC279687 are very similar and both would be a good option for an equalizer upgrade. The main difference is going to be the size of the equalizer.
The Road armor is 6" long measured from the center of the horizontal mounting holes. From the center of the upper hole to the center line of the two horizontal holes measures 3-1/2". The Equa-Flex measures 5-1/2" long and 2-1/2" tall by comparison.
In order to make the best choice, measure your current equalizer and choose whichever has the closest dimensions. I am including a diagram of each showing all of their measurements.
In order to add the equalizers to your trailer's suspension system you will need 10 suspension bolts and 8 shackle straps. You will use 2 of the bolts to suspend the equalizers from the hangers, and the other 8 with the shackle straps to attach the equalizers to the springs. You should already have this hardware with your current equalizers installed, but it would be a good time to upgrade your shackles and straps.
More than likely you have 2-1/4" long shackles which can be found by measuring from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the other. The MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers - 2-1/4" Long Shackle Straps # MR46ZR comes with 1/2" thick shackles and wet bolts to ensure a well-lubricated setup.
I have attached an installation video for each of the above mentioned products for you to check out, as well as a helpful article on trailer suspension.
