Are there 7 or 8 bolts with this kit? The pictures only show 7 but 8 are needed to secure 4 separate points.

I went to the warehouse and took a look at the Replacement Mounting Hardware for Thule Weekender Cargo Box # 1032802, and it does in fact have 8 bolts.

The part you are looking for is the Replacement Quick On/Off Bracket for Thule QM3 Kit - Qty 1, #TH04973.

According to Thule you can use the QM3 mounting hardware, #TH04997, for the Weekender cargo box. The crossbars on your 1998 Toyota 4Runner will need to be up to 3-5/8 inches wide. I have included a picture that shows how this hardware will install.
