Tips to Prevent Tearing Slide Out Wiper Seal on RV

Question:
Hello. I have a 2017 crossroads 33rl. I am having issues with the slide seals tearing. I am concerned with replacing them with the same seals. Is this seal a upgrade to the factory seals??? Thanks

Lippert and other manufacturers recommend keeping the slide seals clean with just a mild soap whereas others have said to use baby powder on the seals so that they last longer. The part # SR64FR is a slight upgrade over factory seals.
