Operation Of The Steele Press-In Rubber Seal On A 2018 Forest River Cherokee Arctic Wolf

Question:
We are using these steele rubber press in replacement seals. They dont seem to be going into the channel far enough. The crown tab doesnt set up against the metal tight. We have pushed with the back of a screwdriver and a rubber mallet. We have a 2018 Forest River Cherokee Arctic Wolf .

The crown tab on the Press-In Rubber Seal for RV Slide Out - 60' Long Item # SR64FR will protrude up when at rest and will lay flat against the camper when in use. I've attached pictures showing this for you.
