Recommended Replacement for Shelby 1,000 Lb Boat Trailer Jack

Question:

I have the same shelby jack I will be cutting off the Shelby bracket and replacing with something new. The Shelby jack was extremely hard to roll. To reposition the wheel I had to resort to kicking or rocking the trailer. Can you suggest a replacement that will be easier to maneuver?

If the trailer is heavy, or the ground is uneven, it will be hard to move regardless of which jack you use but if the bearings are wearing out in the old one then a new one would surely take some strain off the user when moving. I recommend a dual wheel jack for increased stability, the Round Swivel Marine Jack w/ Dual Wheel part # MJ-1500B-DWL which can simply be bolted to the frame once the old jack bracket is cut off. It has a zinc coating so it will be great for marine applications.

Unfortunately, there are no direct fit replacements for the Shelby Jack mounting flange.
