Question:
What is the difference between Curt Hitch Extender for 2inch Hitch Receivers - 8inch Long Item # C45791 and Hitch Extender For 2inch Trailer Hitch Receiver 7 Item # HE06 beside the slight difference in length and the obvious price difference? I am looking to gain some room to lower my tailgate when towing a travel trailer 3000 lbs.. The tailgate presently is hitting the motor for the tongue jack when lowered.

The main difference between the Hitch Extender For 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver 7" part # HE06 and Curt Hitch Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers part # C45791 is length and they are made by two different manufactures. Brophy does most of their stuff in the USA so their costs are a bit higher than Curt therefore they are more expensive.
Please note, using any adapter like the above will reduce weight capacity by 50%. The only way around this is a ball mount with longer shank but that limits your rise/drop options. I have attached our selection below you can filter with your rise/drop needs.
