Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Shank. Now this is a shank for your Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution system, and it's a solid steel piece that's gonna slide directly into your truck's 2 1/2-inch trailer hitch receiver, and it's going to give you the mounting point for your weight distribution head assembly. So one of the biggest benefits is, of course, the adjustability. This has six adjustment holes, as you can see here, so that's gonna let you position the head assembly at the right height.

That way you're gonna be able to properly level your trailer with your tow vehicle, which is key for safe and stable towing. You can use this in either the drop position, as I have it right now, or flip this over and use it in the rise position. If you use it in the drop position, this is going to give you a drop of about 3 inches, and then when you flip it over to that rise position, you're gonna get a rise of about 7 inches. So that's gonna give you the ability to match your trailer's coupler height. This is built from dipped steel, so it is designed to resist corrosion, it's gonna hold up well for you over time.

It is designed for regular towing use. As far as capacity goes, this has a maximum gross towing weight of 16,000 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 1,600 pounds. Let me leave you with some measurements. Looking at the overall length, just end-to-end, 16 inches. Overall height, right at about 9 1/2 inches.
