This hitch is for people who don’t want a bulky metal bar hanging below the bumper. The hidden cross tube installs behind the rear bumper so only the 2" x 2" receiver shows underneath. You get a clean, from-the-factory style that blends into the design instead of standing out. There’s no drilling or welding needed—just a 100 percent bolt-on setup that fits right into place for a tidy finish.
The aluminum and steel alloy build gives this hitch serious strength without unnecessary weight. It’s rated for a maximum tongue weight of 375 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,500 lbs, so it’s right at home carrying bike racks, cargo carriers, or light trailers. The combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, stainless steel, and steel is tough enough to handle real-world loads while staying corrosion resistant over time.
Each hitch is made from recycled materials, combining strength with sustainability. Traditional steel hitches can have a big environmental footprint—the alloy used here helps cut that down. A high-impact black powder coat finish adds another layer of durability, keeping rust and road wear at bay so it stays looking sharp season after season.
Every EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch goes through detailed testing to meet or exceed SAE J684 safety standards. Engineers use Finite Elemental Analysis to identify and reinforce stress points before it ever hits the road. The end result is a hitch that’s built to perform under pressure and keep its strength where it counts most—out on the road towing your gear.

Great fit easy to install.
received the item, tried to install and it did not fit, short by half an inch, i noticed there is a discrepancy on the right flange see pictures
It was actually fun to install. I did it by myself and used a bottle jack to hold the hitch in place while I fastened the bolts.

Can you please send a photo of the full hitch receiver from the top, like a bird's eye view shot showing each end? Once I receive this from you, I can assist you further. It looks like the brackets may be flexed, but I would like to make sure. Also, this hitch receiver item # EH23VR you ordered is designed for the 2024 Mazda 3 Sedan. Just to verify, do you have the sedan model?
