Question:

I am looking for a trailer hitch receiver for my 2021 Subaru Forester. I prefer one that will not be very visible. What do you recommend?

For your 2021 Subaru Forester there are two trailer hitch receivers that have a hidden crosstube meaning that once they are installed the only part of the hitch that will be visible is the receiver itself, the Curt # C47HR and EcoHitch # 306-X7391.

Between these two hitches I recommend going with the Curt # C47HR due to it being a bit more cost effective than the EcoHitch option due to the EcoHitch being made out of premium recycled materials that drives up the cost. In addition we have found that the powder coat finish used on the Curt hitches holds up the best so not only will the hitch stay looking good for years to come, it will best resist chips and scratches to prevent rust and corrosion.

If you will towing a trailer with your Forester you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # 118467, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
